Job Summary
The senior agri-business specialist provides expert guidance on agricultural market development, value chain optimization, and agribusiness project implementation. This role supports strategic initiatives and capacity building across agricultural sectors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement agri-business development programs to support the agriculture sector.
- Assist and collaborate on the conceptualization and design, and implementation of innovative financing schemes and financial products specifically tailored for the agricultural value chain.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through extensive networking, industry events, and strategic partnerships
- Cross-sell Wing Bank’s financial products to potential agri-business clients, leveraging their needs to introduce tailored banking solutions that support their growth and operational efficiency
- Implement the project plan to ensure efficiency and results-driven execution
- Collaborate closely with agricultural stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding process into the Wing ecosystem.
- Monitor the project progress and provide the regular report update
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for product improvement and enhancement.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and departments to ensure alignment on the agriculture program and foster collaboration to achieve its objectives
- Provide technical assistance to farmers and agribusinesses
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BA or MBA in Economics, Agriculture, Accounting, Business, Banking & Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in agribusiness, Product and Business development, Digital and Conventional Lending, Sales & Customers or Partners Relationship Management / Business Analysis / Project Management / Transformation / Digital, preferably gained in Banking or Financial Services industry or consultancy and particularly in Retail Banking / Lending
- Excellent in spoken / written English (a must) and in another foreign language (a plus)
- Strong customer/partner relationship, customer services and deal/project structuring/implementation
- Sound knowledge of agribusiness markets, general business environments in agricultural value chains, and specific industry trends
- Having high level of confidentiality, integrity and business ethic
