Job Summary
The agribusiness product manager leads smes and agribusiness & product development, and execution of agricultural business & smes business initiatives. This role oversees smes business operations, partnerships, product development and market development to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement agri-business development programs to support the agriculture sector and SMEs.
- Assist and collaborate on the conceptualization and design, and implementation of innovative financing schemes and financial products specifically tailored for the value chain.
- Conduct extensive market research and competitive intelligence within the agribusiness & SMEs sector to identify unmet customer needs, emerging trends, and new product opportunities.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through extensive networking, industry events, and strategic partnerships
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and business development strategies to expand the agribusiness-portfolio and achieve the growth targets.
- Cross-sell Wing Bank’s financial products to potential SMEs and agribusiness clients, leveraging their needs to introduce tailored banking solutions that support their growth and operational efficiency
- Monitor and actively manage the performance of the agribusiness portfolio, identifying and mitigating potential risks, and ensuring loan quality remains within acceptable parameters.
- Oversee project overall performance, budgeting, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
- Supervise staff in daily tasks, operations and quality control.
- Coordinate available resources for maximum outcomes.
- Act as a role model within the team to question, listen and give actionable feedback carefully in order to create a productive work atmosphere towards “speak up culture”.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BA or MBA in Information Technology, Agriculture, Accounting, Business Management, Banking & Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Product and Business development, Digital and Conventional Lending, Sales & Customers or Partners Relationship Management / Business Analysis / Project Management / Transformation / Digital, preferably gained in Banking or Financial Services industry or consultancy and particularly in Retail Banking / Lending
- Excellent in spoken / written English (a must) and in another foreign language (a plus)
- Strong customer/partner relationship, customer services and deal/project structuring/implementation
- Sound knowledge of agribusiness & SMEs markets, general business environments in agricultural value chains, and specific industry trends
- Having high level of confidentiality, integrity and business ethic
