Wing and Wonderpass sign MoU to Support Tourism Sector in Cambodia

Cambodia embracing Digital Tourism 4.0 with innovative technology and payment solutions from the partnership of Wing and Wonderpass

Wonderpass Technology Co., Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Wing Money (Cambodia) Plc. to work on a strategic partnership to boost digital payments in the modern age of digital tourism in Cambodia.

The groundbreaking agreement, signed by Manu Rajan, CEO of Wing Money (Cambodia) Plc. with Frederic H. Proulx, Chairman of Wonderpass Technology and the Chairman of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, on collaboration between Wonderpass and Wing to promote payment technology through cashless payments, e-payments, wearable payment solutions, smart ticketing, as well as the digitalization of tourist experiences during the post-Covid era.

“Digital solutions help tourists plan their travel and also help to make faster, safer and secure payments before, during and even after their travel in Cambodia with Wing’s innovative and large digital payments ecosystem and solutions,” said Manu Rajan. “The partnership today will allow us to extend our digital payment solution and ecosystem to support the recovery of tourism sector in Cambodia and help the country compete with the others in the region.” Wonderpass’s wristband allows the users to make cashless payments with a huge variety of merchants in Cambodia using Wing’s digital payment service.

“The global travel evolution, which is the Digital Tourism 4.0 plan, is a key area where Wonderpass can be an effective solution for Cambodian tourism businesses and operators as they work to stay competitive in the region by providing the smoothest and most convenient travel experience for tourists,” said Frederic H. Proulx.

 

Wonderpass is supported by the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia as a partnership that aims to operate and advertise the ticketing system at Cambodia’s tourist sites and destinations by linking with websites and mobile applications of “Visit Cambodia” and “Kingdom of Wonder”.

Both Wing and Wonderpass are willing to use their expertise in innovative technology and digital payment solutions to drive the development of the tourism sector in Cambodia. Wing is known for its omnipresent Wing Cash Xpress Agents, allowing users to cash-in and out anytime and anywhere, while its Wing Money App provides a variety of digital payment solutions. Wonderpass is a cashless smart-ticketing and event management platform that was launched with support from the Haystack Fund, a global investment capital firm. Haystack has capitalized US$2 million to invest in digital ventures in Cambodia, including $1 million to develop the pioneering Wonderpass platform.
