Wing Waives Off Fees for Wing-to-Wing Money Transfer

Customers can now transfer up to USD 20,000 per day using the Wing Money App.

In a progressive move, Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialised Bank has waived off money transfer fees for all Wing to Wing transactions using the Wing App and increased the daily money transfer limits to USD 20,000. This will make it easier for all Cambodians to send money to their families, and will reduce travel during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The Covid-19 pandemic is affecting both the health and economic status of our communities,” said Mr. Manu Rajan, CEO of Wing. “Many people need financial support from friends and families to sustain their businesses. Free Wing to Wing transfers up to USD 20,000 daily will allow customers to help each other, on time, and without extra fees, thereby aiding a faster post-pandemic recovery.”

By using the Wing Money App, customers can now transfer up to USD 20,000 per day to another Wing user. To use the service, simply open the Wing Money App, select “Transfer”, tap on “Wing to Wing”, fill in the account number, amount and purpose, and then press “send”.

The Wing Money App also provides greater convenience as customers can purchase goods and services with the swipe of a finger from the WingMall, a food, grocery and essential commodities delivery service that Wing launched recently that provides unconditional free delivery for all purchases. Users can also make instant digital payments through the app, for household essentials such as utility payments, phone top-ups, and payments to merchants and delivery services.

The customers can also to apply for various types of loans, including unsecured loans, from various Financial Institutions. Customers of other Banks and Financial Institutions can pay back their loans, and installments using the Wing App from the comfort of their homes during this pandemic.

Wing is also one of the first fintech Banks to be integrated with Bakong. Customers of all Bakong’s Banking Partners can use Bakong to transfer funds into their Wing accounts and vice versa. During this pandemic, customers do not have to travel far to find ATMs to withdraw cash from their bank accounts. They can use Bakong to transfer money from their bank accounts into their Wing wallet and cash out from any one of the 9,000 Wing Cash Express Agents near them.

Cambodians working or living in 195 countries around the world can send money back to their families using the Wing International Remittance Services named ‘Wing to World’ inside the Wing App.

Expats living in Cambodia can use the Wing App to deposit money into the bank accounts in their home countries using the ‘Wing to World’ feature inside the Wing App at rates almost 5 times lesser than the fees charged by other banks and financial institutions.
