Job Summary
The Deputy Head of Deposit is responsible for supporting the Head of Deposit in driving deposit growth, managing high-value and affluent customer portfolios, enhancing customer experience, and achieving business profitability targets. The role oversees the execution of deposit acquisition and retention strategies, strengthens customer relationships, ensures regulatory compliance, and leads the VVI Banking team to deliver sustainable business growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Head of Deposit n developing and executing the overall deposit growth strategy.
- Drive portfolio growth through acquisition of new-to-bank affluent, VVI, and high-net-worth customers.
- Monitor deposit portfolio performance and recommend initiatives to achieve business targets.
- Manage and grow the deposit portfolio, ensuring achievement of CASA, term deposit, and overall deposit targets.
- Develop customer retention programs to improve customer loyalty and reduce attrition.
- Monitor portfolio profitability, deposit mix, and funding costs.
- Analyze business performance and customer trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with VVI, affluent, and strategic customers.
- Act as a senior point of contact for key customers and provide high-quality financial solutions.
- Support relationship managers in handling complex customer requirements and negotiations.
- Promote cross-selling opportunities across deposits, wealth management, bancassurance, lending, and digital banking products.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the VVI Banking/Deposit team to achieve business targets.
- Monitor individual and team performance against KPIs.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of banking experience with at least 3-5 years in leadership roles.
- Strong experience in deposit mobilization, priority banking, affluent banking, relationship management, or retail banking.
- Proven track record in achieving deposit growth and business development targets.
- Strategic thinking and business planning.
- Strong sales and relationship management skills.
- Leadership and people management capability.
- Financial analysis and portfolio management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
