Wing Collaborates on Charitable Donation Transferring Service To Kantha Bopha Foundation

Held at Ministry of Economy and Finance, H.E Akka Bandith Sakphea Char Aun Porn Monyroth, Senior Minister of Economy and Finance as well as the Board of Trustee for the Kantha Bopha foundation has signed an MoU agreement with Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialised Bank on “Charitable Donation Transferring Service to Kantha Bopha Foundation”.

The MoU agreement is aimed at offering a new choice of convenience to donors who want to contribute the fund to the Kantha Bopha foundation through Wing without having to spend any service fee. In addition to this collaboration, Wing will continuously work with the foundation in spreading the news via media related to this service with the hope that it will help mobilize more and more Cambodian people to contribute to this cause.

This collaboration reflects Wing’s and the Royal Government of Cambodia’s intention in building a better future of Cambodian children who are country’s important human resource. The Kantha Bopha foundation was founded and established by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techno Hun Sen, Cambodian prime minister.

The Kantha Bopha Foundation was established as a trustee committee under a slogan “The Smile of a Child Is a Bright Future of Cambodia” with the purpose of raising fund to support the operation of Kantha Bopha hospitals ensuring that Cambodian children get access to standardized and free-of-charge health care and treatment service.

By August 27 – 2018, there are up to 51,281 donors who contribute the fund to the Kantha Bopha foundation the total amount of USD 4,956,655 and KHR 4,115,024,647. Through the new collaboration, H.E Aun Porn Monyroth believes that the fund raised will continue to increase in the upcoming future.

Attending the signing ceremony, Neak Oknha Kith Meng, Chairman of the Royal Group of Companies who donated the property worth $8 million in support for the running of the foundation’s administrative office, said the collaboration will make it easy and convenient for donors to transfer funds that will go towards ensuring a better future for the children of Cambodia.

“Those that wish to make a donation can visit any of our Wing agents conveniently located in every commune in Cambodia. You can inform the Wing agent that you would like to donate to the Kantha Bopha foundation, with the biller code 5559 (in KH Riels) or 5558 (in US Dollar). Whether it is 2,000 riels or 1USD, we will always accept your contribution,” said Neak Okhna Kith Meng, adding that donors can also opt for donating money by logging into the Wing Money App and selecting “Bills Payment” or via USSD code *989# and the donation can be done within seconds.

H.E Aun Porn Monyroth would like to pay his gratitude to Neak Oknha Kith Meng, Chairman of The Royal Group of Companies for donating the property for the Kantha Bopha foundation as well as helping to mobilize the public to donate the fund via Wing. H.E Aun Porn Monyroth said both supports are such a big contribution toward improving the life of millions of Cambodian children.

Through this MoU agreement, H.E Akka Bondith Sakphea Char also encouraged the working team of the Kantha Bopha foundation to continue working closely with Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialised Bank and other relevant stakeholders in spreading out the news about this free charitable donation transferring service since it will definitely help improve the fund collection mechanism for the foundation.
