Wing Bank and CTE Open a New Door for Cambodia’s Agriculture Sector

The partnership brings together trade promotion and accessible financing to help Cambodian farmers, processors, and agri-SMEs reach wider markets.

Cambodia’s agriculture sector has never exported more. In 2025, agricultural exports reached USD 6.46 billion - a 7.3% increase on the year before. The products are there. The demand is there. What has been missing, for too many businesses, is the financing to close the gap between what they produce and what they could ship.

At the official grand opening of the Cambodia Trade Enterprise (CTE) Center, Wing Bank and CTE signed a Memorandum of Understanding witnessed by H.E. Kem Sithan, Permanent Secretary of State, Ministry of Commerce. The agreement is designed to change that equation - combining CTE’s national trade promotion platform with Wing Bank’s financial products to give exporters, processors, and agri-SMEs a genuine path to market.

“Many agriculture businesses are already capable of competing regionally - they just need the financial foundation to get there,” said Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, CEO of Wing Bank. “Through this collaboration, we are putting that foundation in place: practical financing at terms that actually work for agricultural realities, and digital tools that keep operations running smoothly.”

Wing Bank’s agri clients already know what those terms look like. Through AgriLoan, eligible businesses can access up to USD 200,000 at 8.5% per annum with no collateral required.

For context, comparable unsecured financing from microfinance institutions in the same market can cost more than double that rate.

For exporters managing cross-border transactions, Wing Bank’s trade finance solutions add same-day document processing and promo pricing at 0.6% p.a., with document handling fees waived.

These are not future promises - they are terms Wing Bank’s clients are using today to expand production, fulfil larger orders, and move Cambodian products further up the value chain.

The partnership covers key commodities including rice in quota markets, cashew, corn, cassava, and mango, and is built to strengthen the links between production, processing, and export. At a panel discussion on “Advancing Future-Ready Farm-to-Market Connectivity for Cambodian Products,” Mr. Hong Vantheth, Open Banking Director at Wing Bank, walked through how Wingagri and AgriLoan are already improving transaction transparency and building the trust between farmers, SMEs, buyers, and financial institutions that makes trade work.

Agriculture employs around 2.8 million Cambodians and contributed roughly 16% of GDP in 2025. Wing Bank is here to make sure that financial barriers are not what holds the sector back.
