Wing Comes of Age

There is something symbolic about turning eighteen.

For most people, it marks a transition—a moment when confidence grows, responsibility deepens, and the future begins to feel less like something to wait for and more like something to shape.

This year, Wing reaches that milestone.

Eighteen years ago, Wing began with a simple ambition: to make financial services easier to reach and more relevant to everyday life. At a time when banking remained inaccessible for many Cambodians, Wing set out to bring financial services closer to where people lived, worked, and built their futures.

What began as Cambodia’s pioneering mobile money service has, over nearly two decades, grown into one of the country’s leading commercial banks. Today, Wing serves millions of customers through a nationwide ecosystem of branches, Wing Bank Agents, Wing Master Agents, merchants, digital channels, business partners, and an expanding portfolio of financial solutions that support individuals, families, businesses, and communities across Cambodia.

But if eighteen years tells one story, it is not simply a story of growth.

It is a story of responsibility.

“Turning eighteen is a meaningful milestone because it gives us an opportunity to reflect on how Wing has evolved alongside Cambodia. We began by solving one important problem—making financial services more accessible. Today, we have a much broader responsibility. We serve millions of customers, businesses and communities across the country, and our role continues to grow as Cambodia’s financial needs evolve. Our focus now is not simply on growing the Bank, but on continuing to build a stronger, more accessible and more relevant financial ecosystem for the future.”

— Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, Chief Executive Officer, Wing Bank

That responsibility is reflected not only in the Bank’s expanding role, but also in its scale.

In 2025, Wing Bank’s total assets reached USD 3.65 billion, customer deposits surpassed USD 3 billion, and its lending portfolio grew to USD 2.23 billion. Today, customers are served through 27 branches, approximately 12,000 Wing Bank Agents, around 200 Wing Master Agents, and a digital platform offering more than 100 financial solutions. Alongside this physical and digital network, Wing has continued expanding its ecosystem of merchants, payment partners, businesses, and institutions—creating more places and more ways for customers to access financial services as part of their everyday lives.

Yet numbers tell only part of the story.

Over the past eighteen years, Cambodia itself has changed.

The country’s economy has grown. Digital technology has become part of daily life. Customers have become more connected, more informed, and more ambitious about what financial services should enable them to do.

Wing’s journey has evolved alongside those changes.

What began as a service focused on moving money has become a bank supporting many different moments in people’s financial lives—from opening a first account and building savings to accessing credit, accepting digital payments, managing payroll, growing a business, and planning for the future.

Turning eighteen is often described as coming of age.

For Wing, it represents something slightly different.

It is not a destination, but a transition.

A reminder that maturity is not about standing still. It is about continuing to evolve while remaining true to the purpose that inspired the journey in the first place.

That purpose has always been simple:

To bring financial services closer to the people who need them.

The ways Wing fulfils that purpose have changed dramatically over the past eighteen years.

The purpose itself has not.

As Wing enters adulthood, the question is no longer how far the Bank has come.

It is how much further it can help Cambodia go.
