Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc, one of the country’s fastest-growing digital banks, supports Khmer Enterprise in hosting Khmer Enterprise Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Day 2024, held from 24 through 25 November at Diamond Island, Phnom Penh, allowing the public to explore entrepreneurship and tech innovation.
“Khmer Enterprise is appreciative of Wing Bank as one of the supporting partners for this important event to empower youth with knowledge and opportunities to create positive ripple effects to benefit the entrepreneurial ecosystem.” said H.E. Dr. Chhieng Vanmunin, Delegate of Royal Government in charge as CEO of Khmer Enterprise.
As a government trust fund, Khmer Enterprise is dedicated to mobilizing and managing resources to foster a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Cambodia.
“The youth of today hold the key to solving tomorrow’s problems,” said Bunthe Hor, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank. “Equipping them with the tools and knowledge to innovate and thrive as entrepreneurs is not just an investment in their futures, but in the prosperity of our entire community.”
During this event, Wing Bank also shared its insights about Fintech innovation and offered participants the opportunity to explore how its digital innovation can help to address the daily challenges of the community.
Khmer Enterprise Ecosystem Day 2024 features a lineup of impactful programs tailored to Cambodia’s entrepreneurial landscape. These include the CAMESCO Impact Investment Conference, where entrepreneurs and investors explore opportunities for social and financial returns, and the Unipreneur National Competition 2025, empowering students to pitch innovative business ideas. The Youth to Business Hackathon (Y2B) fosters youth’s creative solutions for local challenges, while KE Awards Night celebrates excellence across high school, university, startup, and SME, programs, making it a powerful platform for innovation and social impact.
Wing Bank has been a key partner in this mission, with strategic collaborations such as a 2021 partnership that provided SME members of Khmer Enterprise access to loans and digital financial services to recover from the pandemic. In 2023, Wing Bank also supported the Investment Readiness Program, helping high-potential SMEs across various sectors secure the capital needed to scale their businesses.
As Cambodia moves forward, the collaboration between Wing Bank and Khmer Enterprise is poised to drive lasting change. By nurturing in youth entrepreneurship and fostering innovation, this joint effort is not just preparing the next generation for success—but also creating a ripple effect of positive impact throughout the entire community.
