Wing Bank Commits KHR 600 Million to Chea Chanto College Scholarships

PHNOM PENH, 27 August 2026 — Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc. will provide KHR 600 million in full scholarships for 18 academically talented students from underserved communities to attend Chea Chanto College. 

Under a three-year Memorandum of Understanding, Wing Bank will cover students’ tuition, accommodation, meals and other educational expenses from the 2026–2027 through the 2028–2029 academic years. The support will enable students to focus on their studies without worrying about school and living expenses. 

“Talent exists across Cambodia, but not every young person has the same opportunity to develop it,” said Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, CEO of Wing Bank. “These scholarships will give 18 students the support they need to complete secondary school and prepare for their future. As Wing Bank continues to improve digital financial services and literacy, we also want to help young Cambodians develop the knowledge and skills to benefit from Cambodia’s changing economy.” 

Located in Kampong Thom province, Chea Chanto College was established in honour of the late H.E. Chea Chanto, former Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, and his lifelong dedication to education, public service and community development. 

The college carries his legacy forward by preparing young people to help shape Cambodia’s next chapter, a mission Wing Bank is proud to support. It provides students from challenging backgrounds with rigorous upper-secondary education in Grades 10 to 12, with a strong focus on STEM, English, leadership and essential life skills.

The partnership builds on Wing Bank’s work with nearly 20 schools nationwide, its support for a girls’ STEM programme at the Cambodian Children’s Fund’s Tomorrow Academy, and its collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport on youth empowerment projects.
