Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Financial Institutions to support the Head of FI in leading the department, developing business strategies, and managing relationships with banking counterparties. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in transaction banking, fund management, and compliance, with a deep understanding of both local and international banking practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Head of FI to develop and implement effective business strategies to meet departmental targets.
- Solicit transaction banking business and support the team in achieving financial goals.
- Enhance service levels provided to partner banks and financial institutions.
- Conduct research on overseas fund management practices and local market compliance policies.
- Manage daily operations including overseas treasury management, fund and account management, and local bank coordination.
- Stay updated on market infrastructure developments and provide strategic insights.
- Lead and manage projects related to financial institution operations and ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and manage ongoing requirements of partner banks and ensure business continuity.
- Mitigate counterparty risks and establish mechanisms to diversify fund management risks.
- Ensure high standards in credit risk profiles and compliance of all correspondent banks.
- Act as the primary contact for establishing mutual banking facilities with various banking counterparties.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support cross-functional business needs.
- Assist the Head of FI with urgent and high-priority tasks.
- Oversee onboarding of direct correspondent banks, especially for major currencies.
- Source and manage FI deposits.
- Ensure all KYC documentation for onshore and offshore partners is current and compliant with internal and external standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Qualifications in Business, Finance or Marketing (bachelor's degree minimum)
- At least 2 years of experience managing business partnerships
- Ability to speak Chinese, Thai, or Vietnamese is preferable
- Possess a list of correspondent banks that can be introduced to Wing Bank
- Prior experience in Financial Institutions or Corporate Banking is highly desirable
- Ability to create and maintain working relationships, especially with partner banks
- Ability to network with people from diverse backgrounds
- In-depth knowledge of global banks’ settlement and FX products, with relevant project experience preferred. Understanding of international fund settlement and clearing business, familiarity with cross-border payment operations and business models, and experience in FX and treasury management projects in large multinational companies is preferred. Knowledge of overseas payment and cross-border funds compliance policies is also valuable
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills; a working knowledge of financial accounting and strong written business English (especially for emails) is appreciated
• Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel
