JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Establish and execute the Bank’s commodity risk management and investment strategy
1.1 Develop and implement commodity risk management policies covering metals, energy, and other commodities
1.2 Define commodity investment strategy aligned with Treasury objectives and risk appetite
1.3 Present strategy, positioning, and outlook to senior management and committees
2 Optimize commodity portfolio performance within approved risk appetite
2.1 Build and manage a commodity investment portfolio (physical assets, derivatives, structured products)
2.2 Evaluate commodity-linked investment opportunities and exit strategies
2.3 Monitor supply-demand dynamics, macroeconomic factors, and market cycles
3 Effectively hedge commodity, FX, and macroeconomic risks
3.1 Design and execute hedging strategies using futures, options, and swaps
3.2 Manage commodity price, basis, liquidity, counterparty, and FX risks
3.3 Review hedge ratios and approve adjustments based on exposure forecasts
4 Ensure full compliance, governance, and ESG alignment in commodity activities
4.1 Ensure all commodity activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
4.2 Integrate ESG and responsible-sourcing considerations into commodity decisions
4.3 Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal governance processes
5 Provide timely market intelligence and strategic advisory to management
5.1 Conduct in-depth analysis of global and Asian commodity markets
5.2 Develop investment theses and recommend positioning, entry, and exit strategies
5.3 Deliver regular reports on hedge effectiveness, positions, and market trends
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields (CFA/FRM preferred)
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in commodity trading, risk management, or treasury
- Proven experience managing commodity portfolios and hedging programs
- Experience with futures, options, swaps, and structured products
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and professional English communication skills
