Maintain and optimize Jira, Confluence, and related Atlassian applications to achieve agreed service levels (uptime, response time, and reliability), enabling uninterrupted business and project operations.
Monitor and maintain Jira, Confluence, and related Atlassian applications to ensure stable performance.
Perform regular system health checks, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime
Collaborate with infrastructure/DevOps to optimize resource usage and system scaling
Provide timely L2/L3 support for Atlassian platforms, ensuring resolution of user issues and service requests within defined SLAs, reducing downtime and improving user satisfaction
Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshooting complex issues that cannot be solved by ITSD
Resolve service requests (e.g., new projects, custom fields, workflows) within agreed SLA
Escalate critical issues to vendors or engineering teams and track to resolution
Implement workflow configurations, automation rules, plugins, and integrations that streamline business processes, reduce manual effort, and improve collaboration across teams
Develop and maintain Jira workflows, custom fields, dashboards, and automation rules
Integrate Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems (e.g., O365, ServiceNow, CMDB)
Evaluate, test, and implement approved Atlassian Marketplace apps to enhance functionality
Administer user/group permissions and project access consistently in line with IT security and compliance policies, minimizing risks of unauthorized access and ensuring audit readiness
Manage user accounts, groups, and project permissions in line with security policies
Conduct bi-annul access reviews and implement least-privilege principles
Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements (change tracking, logs)
Proactively identify areas for improvement, deliver system upgrades and best practices, and maintain up-to-date documentation and knowledge articles for both IT teams and end users
Document best practices, workflows, and troubleshooting guides in Confluence
Provide regular knowledge-sharing sessions and user training workshops
Collect feedback from stakeholders and propose improvement initiatives
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strong understanding of Atlassian ecosystem (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Marketplace apps, integrations)
Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL practices (incident, problem, change, and service request management)
Familiarity with system administration (user/group management, permissions, workflows, automation rules)
Awareness of information security principles (least privilege, audit requirements, compliance standards)
Knowledge of scripting/automation tools (e.g., Groovy, PowerShell, Python) for process automation
3-5 years hands-on experience administering and supporting Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence platforms
Experience with plugin management and integrations (installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Marketplace apps)
Experience performing system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning with minimal downtime
Exposure to cross-team collaboration (IT Service Desk, Infrastructure, Security, Application teams and Business units teams)
Experience conducting user training, documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions
