A Brighter Wing in Motion: From Trusted Bank to Everyday Companion

Wing’s next chapter is not about becoming a different bank. It is about becoming a more personal, expressive, and engaging version of the bank customers already trust.

Turning eighteen is often associated with maturity.

But maturity does not mean becoming quieter, more formal, or less willing to change. It means understanding what must be protected, recognising what must evolve, and moving forward with greater clarity.

For Wing Bank, its eighteenth anniversary marks that kind of transition.

The Bank enters its next chapter with the trust, scale, and experience built over nearly two decades. But it is also operating in a market shaped by very different expectations from those that existed when Wing first began.

Customers now expect financial services to be immediate, intuitive, and easy to understand. They want digital experiences that feel personal rather than generic. They expect support, rewards, and convenience to be integrated naturally into the way they bank.

Younger customers, in particular, are not simply comparing one bank with another. They are comparing banking with every other digital experience in their lives.

For Wing, remaining relevant therefore requires more than adding products.

It requires changing how the Bank feels.

A bank evolving with its customers

Wing’s next chapter is an evolution of the institution customers already know.

Over the past eighteen years, the Bank has expanded far beyond its original role in money transfers and payments. It now serves customers across savings, lending, cards, payroll, business banking, digital payments, rewards, and a growing range of everyday financial needs.

The audiences it serves have expanded as well.

Wing now supports young people opening their first accounts, families managing household finances, employees receiving salaries, merchants accepting payments, entrepreneurs building businesses, and companies managing more complex financial needs.

Serving such a broad range of customers requires more than one tone, one type of experience, or one expression of the brand.

It requires a bank that can remain trusted while becoming more flexible, more relevant, and more connected to different ways of living.

Jib Jib as a turning point

The clearest expression of this evolution is Jib Jib.

Introduced in 2026, Jib Jib may appear at first to be a mascot. But its role extends much further.

Jib Jib sits at the centre of a broader customer ecosystem designed to make banking more approachable, engaging, and easier to explore. This includes a refreshed Wing Bank App with new features for everyday convenience, a renewed website experience, easier access to information and support, and Jib Jib Missions, which encourages customers to discover services, complete activities, and engage more deeply with the Wing ecosystem.

This marks an important shift in how Wing approaches the customer relationship.

Previously, rewards were primarily linked to transactions. Today, the experience is becoming broader.

Jib Jib Missions encourages customers not only to transact, but also to explore, participate, discover useful services, and build stronger financial habits. Banking becomes less about completing one task and more about developing an ongoing relationship with the Bank.

Jib Jib has also moved beyond digital channels.

Through mall activations and other on-ground experiences, the character has helped Wing create more direct, visible, and informal points of connection with customers and communities.

Early performance suggests that customers are responding to the shift. By 29 July, the Jib Jib campaign had generated more than 326 million impressions, 65 million video plays, and almost 25 million engagements. It had also contributed to more than 639,000 new app installs and 154,000 account openings.

The numbers indicate that Jib Jib is doing more than building awareness. It is helping Wing attract new customers, encourage greater participation, and deepen engagement with existing users.

For Wing, this makes Jib Jib more than a communication device.

It is one of the clearest signs of a bank moving from transactions toward everyday engagement, discovery, and rewards.

Why youth matters

This evolution is closely connected to Wing’s growing focus on Cambodia’s next generation.

Younger customers are entering financial life with different habits and expectations. They are digitally active, visually driven, and accustomed to experiences that are interactive, personalised, and easy to navigate.

They also expect the brands they use to understand their ambitions, identity, and way of life.

For Wing, engaging youth is not simply about making the Bank appear younger.

It is about designing products, experiences, and communication that feel relevant to how the next generation manages money, expresses identity, builds ambitions, and plans for the future.

That direction began to take clearer shape through Breakthrough, Wing’s youth-focused campaign built around the idea of the Progressive Khmer.

The campaign reflected a generation that is proud of its culture and identity while also being ambitious, modern, digitally connected, and determined to move forward. It positioned youth not as a separate audience to advertise to, but as a central part of Wing’s long-term future.

Jib Jib builds on that direction by bringing greater accessibility, energy, and participation into the banking experience.

Together, these initiatives show a bank learning how to remain credible and responsible while communicating in a way that feels more contemporary, relevant, and human.

A broader palette for a broader Wing

Wing’s expanded colour palette is another visible expression of that change.

For many years, Wing’s green identity has represented familiarity, accessibility, and strong recognition across Cambodia. Those qualities remain central to the brand.

But Wing today is broader than the organisation it was eighteen years ago.

It serves more customer segments, offers a wider portfolio, and plays a deeper role in the daily financial lives of individuals and businesses.

The expanded palette gives the brand more room to reflect that diversity.

Brighter and bolder colours allow Wing to connect with different audiences, products, and experiences while remaining anchored in the trust it has already built.

The change is not intended to replace Wing’s identity.

It gives that identity greater range.

A more mature institution does not need to become visually more conservative. It can become more confident in how it expresses itself.

The refreshed colours signal a Wing that is stronger in its foundation, but also more dynamic, optimistic, and ready for what comes next.

More ways to be part of everyday life

Wing’s future ambitions extend beyond digital experience and brand expression.

They also involve increasing the number of places, partners, and moments in which customers can use the Bank.

A wider network of branches, merchants, corporate partners, and payment partners—including services connected through Wing Flex—will allow customers to use Wing across more parts of daily life.

Access for Cambodians living abroad is expanding as well, with eligible customers in 13 countries able to open Wing Bank accounts remotely and stay connected to financial services at home.

For businesses, Wing’s growing portfolio includes payroll, trade finance, 0% FX, and GDCE-aligned solutions for companies managing frequent shipments, customs obligations, and duty payments.

The ambition is not merely to increase the number of products available.

It is to increase the number of relevant ways Wing can support customers, businesses, and communities.

The future of everyday banking

For Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, Chief Executive Officer of Wing Bank, Jib Jib and the refreshed brand are visible signs of a wider strategic direction.

“Wing’s next chapter is about increasing our relevance in the everyday lives of customers. We have built a strong foundation over eighteen years, but customer expectations and the role of technology will continue to evolve. Our priority is to strengthen our digital capabilities, improve customer experience, broaden financial access, and use data and technology more effectively to deliver services that are simpler, safer, and more personal. Jib Jib is one example of how that evolution is already taking shape.”

The future of banking is likely to become increasingly embedded in everyday life.

Services will need to be more personalised.

Customer journeys will need to be simpler.

Rewards and engagement will become more connected.

Technology and data will play a greater role in helping customers discover relevant services, make informed decisions, and manage their finances with more confidence.

But even as Wing becomes more digital, the Bank intends to remain human.

Its nationwide presence, community relationships, agent network, and understanding of local needs will continue to distinguish its role in the market.

The ambition is not to choose between digital convenience and human connection.

It is to bring the two closer together.

A brighter Wing in motion

Wing’s eighteenth anniversary does not mark a departure from its past.

It marks an evolution built upon it.

The trust developed over eighteen years remains the foundation. What is changing is the energy, experience, reach, and expression built around that trust.

Jib Jib signals a more engaging relationship with customers.

The focus on youth signals greater relevance to the next generation.

The expanded colours signal a more confident and expressive brand.

The growing network of products and partners signals more ways for customers and businesses to use Wing.

And the Bank’s future ambitions signal a determination to remain useful and relevant as the financial lives of Cambodians continue to change.

The first eighteen years were about bringing financial services closer to people.

The next chapter is about becoming an even closer part of their everyday lives.
