As Khmer New Year approaches, Cambodia gently shifts into a season of reunion and celebration. Families prepare to reunite, coming together as public spaces burst to life with the colours, sounds, and traditions that define Cambodia’s most meaningful holiday.
In this spirit of togetherness, Wing Bank is proud to sponsor Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) joining Sangkranta celebrations in both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, bringing its presence closer to communities during this special time of year. Through thoughtfully curated on ground activations, the Bank aims to add to the festive atmosphere while supporting local vibrancy during one of the country’s busiest travel periods.
“Khmer New Year brings us back to what matters most: family, tradition, and shared joy,” said Ms. Winnyda Kith, Chief Marketing Officer of Wing Bank. “At Wing Bank, we are proud to celebrate alongside communities while supporting local businesses and livelihoods during this important season.”
This year welcomes the Tuesday Angel, Reaksa Tevy, one of the seven daughters of the King of Heaven, Kabil Moha Prum, symbolising courage, strength, and protection for new beginnings. As Cambodia steps into the new year, her arrival serves as a timely reminder that renewal is also a moment to prepare for the future.
“The New Year Angel reminds us that protection also comes from preparation,” She continued, “Through our presence at these celebrations, we hope to encourage simple habits, especially saving, so families can feel more secure in the year ahead.”
In Phnom Penh, Wing Bank is supporting Nokor Sangkran 2026 from 14 to 19 April 2026 with a Khmerinspired pavilion near Wat Phnom, where visitors can gather and take part in traditional New Year activities.
In Siem Reap, Wing Bank invites the public to visit its Sangkranta booth near Wat Bo Bridge from 14 to 16 April 2026, designed as a lively celebration hub throughout the holiday. A key highlight is a series of mini concerts and festive performances, creating a vibrant atmosphere that brings families, friends, and visitors together to celebrate Khmer New Year through music, culture, and shared joy.
At both locations, and especially in Siem Reap, visitors can enjoy traditional games and cultural activities while connecting with Wing Bank in a warm and engaging setting. They can open a bank account, earn up to 3% per annum on a Savings Account, or receive up to 5% per annum through Wing Bank’s Save for Goal feature. Participants will also stand a chance to win a new smartphone, with Wing Bank’s onsite team available to provide guidance and support throughout the celebrations.
Beyond the celebrations, Sangkranta plays a vital role in supporting local vendors, small businesses, and communities nationwide. Through its participation, Wing Bank hopes to nurture not only festive moments, but also lasting connections where cultural pride is shared, communities are strengthened, and the New Year begins with optimism for all.
Wing Bank wishes everyone a joyful and meaningful Khmer New Year, filled with togetherness, renewed hope, and shared prosperity.
