Wing Bank Launches WingGen to Help Young Cambodians Unlock Their Financial Power

More than a junior savings account, WingGen brings together saving, everyday KHQR purchases, personal goals, missions, rewards and parental guidance in one connected platform for young people aged 10 to 17.

PHNOM PENH, 31 October 2026 - Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc. today officially launched WingGen, a new financial platform designed to give young Cambodians greater freedom to manage money while keeping their parents connected to the experience.

WingGen moves beyond the idea that youth banking begins and ends with opening an account. It brings together the activities through which young people build financial capability: paying for everyday needs, monitoring a balance, saving for something meaningful, completing missions and earning rewards.

For parents, WingGen offers a practical way to give their children more independence without giving up visibility or control.

The platform launches under the communication idea Unlock Your Power.

Young people can unlock four powers: Savings Power, Save-for-a-Goal Power, Scan-to-Pay Power and Missions Power. Parents can unlock four corresponding powers: responding to money requests, tracking spending, controlling spending and freezing the account when necessary.

"Young people do not learn financial responsibility simply by having an account. They learn by making choices and seeing what follows," said Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, CEO of Wing Bank. "WingGen gives them a place to practice those choices in everyday life. It also gives parents the tools to guide that experience with confidence. We designed a platform that can grow financial capability, not only hold a young person's money."

More than an account

WingGen was created around a simple idea: young people do not experience money through a single activity.

They receive money from their parents. They make everyday purchases. They decide whether to spend now or save for later. They set goals, change their minds and discover that every choice affects what they can do next.

WingGen brings these moments together in one connected experience.

Parents can open a WingGen account for an eligible child through the Wing Bank App. The young customer can then activate the WingGen App on their own device, view their balance and transactions and buy everyday items through KHQR.

When additional money is needed, the child can send a request through WingGen. The parent receives the request and decides whether to approve or decline it.

The result is more than access to banking. It gives young customers a practical way to begin managing money for themselves, and the ability to take part in the cashless economy they already see around them.

Turning saving into something meaningful

WingGen includes Save for Goal, allowing a young customer to name something they want, put money aside and see progress toward it.

With Save for Goal, WingGen customers can create a personal savings goal, put money aside and follow their progress. Whether they are saving for a new device, a gift, an experience or something else that matters to them, they can see how each contribution brings the goal closer.

This goal-based approach makes saving concrete. Instead of presenting saving as an abstract rule, WingGen connects it to something the young person has chosen and gives them a reason to continue.

Building consistency through missions and rewards

WingGen Missions encourage young customers to save consistently through monthly cash-in challenges.

Completing a mission allows the young customer to earn Wingpoints. These points can be used toward eligible purchases through Wing Bank’s growing network of participating partner merchants.

This introduces another practical lesson: rewards can make money go further. Young customers can keep building their savings while using earned Wingpoints to offset part or all of the cost of something they want or need, subject to the applicable redemption conditions.

JibJib, WingGen’s Power Guide, makes the experience more engaging by helping young customers discover the platform’s powers, complete missions and celebrate their progress.

Independence with safeguards

Parents manage their side of the relationship through the Wing Bank App.

They can monitor their child’s account and review transaction activity. They can also set transaction limits, respond to money requests and freeze the account if a phone is lost or something unusual occurs. These tools allow parents to establish appropriate boundaries without taking away every opportunity for the child to make a decision.

WingGen also applies safeguards designed for junior customers. Transactions are limited to KHR 2 million, or the equivalent amount, per transaction and per day. Products intended for adults, including international transfers, digital loans, trading services and credit cards, are restricted.

The aim is to create an environment where young people can begin using money independently without being given access to financial products that are not appropriate for their age.

More than a junior savings account

Wing Bank is not the first financial institution to offer an account for young customers. WingGen is differentiated by what happens around the account.

It combines four powers for young people with four practical powers for parents. Saving is connected to personal goals. Consistent activity is connected to missions and rewards. Everyday spending is visible to both generations.

Independence is supported by parental visibility and controls.

This creates an active financial experience rather than an account designed only to hold money.

“WingGen is not simply an account that a young person opens and leaves untouched,” added Dr. Kolechko. “It is a platform designed to remain relevant as their interests, goals and financial needs grow. We are launching with a strong experience today, and we will continue building on it.”

Wing Bank will continue expanding WingGen with additional features, partnerships and experiences designed to make financial learning increasingly engaging, rewarding and useful for young customers and their families.

By bringing saving, purchases, personal goals, missions, rewards and parental support into one connected platform, WingGen gives two generations different but complementary forms of financial power.

More independence for them. More confidence for you.

Parents can download the Wing Bank App to open a WingGen Account. For more information about WingGen, visit any Wing Bank branch nationwide or call 023 999 989.
