Apply now to pitch, win, and lead Cambodia’s startup future
The Turing Hackathon – Cycle 9 is now open for applications, calling on Cambodia’s brightest young minds to shape the future of digital entrepreneurship. For the first time, the country’s leading startup challenge expands beyond Phnom Penh, bringing its energy and opportunity to Siem Reap—a strategic move to decentralize innovation and empower youth across the nation.
Organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Techo Startup Center, and supported by Wing Bank as the Diamond Sponsor, Cycle 9 offers a transformative experience for aspiring innovators ready to turn ideas into impact.
“Wing Bank is proud to support the Turing Hackathon as it expands to Siem Reap,” said Bunthe Hor, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank. “We believe in the power of young innovators to shape Cambodia’s digital future, and we’re committed to helping them turn bold ideas into real-world impact.”
The journey begins with a two-day online orientation and hatching phase, taking place from October 17 to 18, 2025. During this time, selected participants will refine their ideas, form teams, and gain essential startup skills through group training and a practical case study workshop.
Momentum builds as the program moves on-site to Siem Reap for the main hackathon, held from October 24 to 26, 2025. Over three intensive days, teams will tackle real-world challenges with guidance from expert mentors. On the second day, they’ll pitch their progress in a qualification round to determine who advances to the final stage.
That final stage—Demo Day, also on October 26—is where ideas meet opportunity. Finalists will present their solutions to a panel of judges, competing not only for recognition but for the chance to bring their ventures to life.
“The Turing Hackathon is more than just a competition—it’s a catalyst for bold ideas and meaningful collaboration. By bringing Cycle 9 to Siem Reap, we recognize the city as an emerging tech hub ready for growth. Our goal is to unlock the region’s immense talent and showcase that digital innovation can support Siem Reap thrive,” said Bunthan Sophavina, Startup Program Coordinator of Techo Startup Center.
To ensure equal access, participants traveling from other provinces and cities will receive financial support to help cover travel and accommodation costs, removing barriers for talent across Cambodia.
The top teams will be awarded seed funding to launch their ventures. First place will receive 4 million Riels, second place 3 million Riels, and third place 2 million Riels. But beyond the prizes, participants gain access to expert mentorship, targeted skills development, and a growing alumni network that continues to support and inspire long after the hackathon ends.
For many, the experience is transformative. Srun Virakyuth, co-founder of GOFIT and a Cycle 7 alumnus, reflected on his journey.
“I learned the power of collaboration, effective communication, and teamwork, and I was inspired by the generosity and expertise of the mentors and organizers. Most importantly, the connections I made during the program were invaluable, and I’m still in touch with many of my fellow participants today,” he said.

Hieng Dara, from Strokify, echoed the sentiment. “The mentoring sessions were a game-changer, giving us fresh perspectives, networking, and strategies to make our solution more feasible, sustainable, and impactful. This journey strengthened my problem-solving skills, deepened my understanding of creating meaningful solutions, and gave me the confidence to believe in my ideas,” he said.
