Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc joined the Cambodia Tax Forum 2026, supporting national efforts to modernize the tax system and strengthen cooperation between government institutions and the private sector.
The high‑level forum, held at GDT Tower and attended by more than 1,000 public and private sector representatives, was presided over by H.E. Akka Pundit Sopheacha Aun Porn Moniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance; H.E. Kong Vibol, Director General of the General Department of Taxation (GDT); and Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC).
“Wing Bank is honored to support the GDT’s modernization efforts. We believe that when tax services become accessible and digital, compliance becomes easier and the business environment grows stronger,” said Mr. Bunthe Hor, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank. “Through our nationwide channels, we remain committed to ensuring taxpayers can meet their obligations conveniently and securely.”
A major development highlighted at the forum was the launch of the Cambodia Tax Administration System (CTAS) “GDT HomeTax,” the government’s new centralized digital portal. The system consolidates 83 previously separate applications and services into one platform and is supported by a dedicated mobile app designed to simplify access to taxpayer services.
Officials said the platform is expected to improve transparency, reduce administrative disputes, and create clearer, more predictable processes for businesses. Panelists also noted that digital integration could support stronger compliance and provide a more stable environment for investment.
The forum also emphasized the importance of continued public‑private collaboration in building a “transparent and fair tax system” that supports Cambodia’s long‑term economic resilience.
As part of its long‑standing cooperation with the GDT, Wing Bank is authorized to process all tax payments without service fees, helping expand access for individuals and businesses through its nationwide branch network. The initiative aims to make compliance easier and reduce hurdles for taxpayers, particularly in provinces where digital access may still be developing.
The tax forum comes amid steady improvements in revenue collection. The GDT collected USD 3.57 billion in 2025, up 3.25% year on year, suggesting that more efficient processes and broader participation are helping build a more resilient and predictable fiscal environment for taxpayers and businesses, ultimately supporting Cambodia’s inclusive economic growth.
