Eco Park came alive as more than 1,400 residents, families, employees, and runners gathered for the ‘3,000 Steps Fun Run for Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation.’
Hosted by Peng Huoth Group, with Wing Bank as one of the key supporters, the annual campaign brought the community together in a shared mission—to promote free healthcare for Cambodia’s children and spread the spirit of kindness across the city.
“Every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy. At Wing Bank, we support efforts that give children access to free, quality healthcare because healthy children mean a stronger future for Cambodia,” said Bunthe Hor, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank.
From the first whistle, runners—some joined by their families—set off, running and laughing together as the late afternoon breeze swept through the weekend air. Every step taken was a step toward sustaining the lifesaving work of Kantha Bopha Hospitals.
Kantha Bopha’s hospitals serve vast numbers every year. In the first half of 2025 alone, they delivered over 503,000 outpatient consultations, 96,000 serious pediatric admissions, 16,000 surgeries, and nearly 9,500 deliveries, underscoring how community-backed healthcare remains a lifeline for families across Cambodia.
As of December 16, 2025, a total of 295 pregnant women and children from families displaced by the border dispute, as well as families of Cambodian soldiers defending the country, are receiving treatment at the Kantha Bopha Siem Reap Hospital. This includes 87 pregnant women nearing childbirth and 206 children.
For those who wish to support free healthcare for Cambodia’s children, donations can be made to the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation via the Wing Bank App. Simply go to ‘Bill Payment,’ tap ‘Donation & Charity,’ and select ‘Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation.’ Every contribution will help provide free, quality care for children across the country.
