Wing Bank Partners with Nine Leading Universities More to Offer Hands-On Experience

Wing Bank has strengthened its commitment to youth development by partnering with nine leading educational institutions, offering more Cambodian students the opportunity to gain real-world experience through its Young Winger Development Program.

The signing ceremony brought together representatives from ACLEDA University of Business, American University of Phnom Penh, Build Bright University, Limkokwing University, Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia, Paragon International University, Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE), University of Puthisastra, and Western University. These new agreements mark a significant step forward in creating pathways for students to transition smoothly from education to meaningful careers.

This initiative builds on the success of Wing Bank’s Young Winger Development Program, launched last year to support young Cambodians by providing four to six months of intensive training, hands-on experience, and personal development opportunities—equipping them with practical banking knowledge and essential soft skills to prepare for future careers.

Beyond professional training, the bank provides financial and welfare support—including monthly allowances, health and accident insurance, and accommodation—allowing students to focus fully on building their skills and confidence. Those who demonstrate dedication and potential have a real opportunity to secure full-time positions with Wing Bank upon completion, creating a direct bridge from internship to employment.

“Students deserve strong support to transition into the job market with confidence and to play a greater role in driving our society forward,” said Sheanghai Lao, Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Royal Group of Companies, & Chief People Officer, Wing Bank.

“Young Winger Development Program does more than provide training—it equips young people with the confidence, professional networks, and career pathways they need to shape their future and actively contribute to the nation’s growth.”

The impact of the program is already evident. To date, 102 students have completed internships at Wing Bank, with 85 transitioning into full-time roles. Women account for a quarter of all participants, reflecting the bank’s commitment to inclusive growth and gender diversity.

In July, the bank also partnered with six educational institutions to provide internship opportunities, further expanding its reach and impact.

Students interested in internship opportunities at Wing Bank can contact their respective institutions or reach out directly via the bank’s official Facebook page.

With these new partnerships, Wing Bank is ensuring that even more young Cambodians gain the experience, professional networks, and confidence needed to thrive in the job market—helping shape the nation’s future workforce with ambition, integrity, and opportunity.
