Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc has marked a new milestone in its international growth journey by strengthening its euro transaction capability through a new international banking connection with BRED Banque Populaire, a prominent French cooperative bank and a key member of BPCE Group, one of Europe’s most respected banking groups. This move enhances Cambodia’s eurocurrency transaction capability amid growing trade and investment flows between Cambodia and Europe, while positioning Wing Bank to deliver reliable, efficient, and secure euro-denominated payment solutions.

“This marks an important international milestone for Wing Bank,” said Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, Chief Executive Officer of Wing Bank. “By strengthening our ability to support euro-denominated transactions with greater efficiency and reliability, Wing Bank is expanding our ability to support euro denominated transactions with greater efficiency and reliability. As trade ties between Cambodia and Europe continue to deepen, Wing Bank remains focused on providing world class financial infrastructure that empowers exporters, importers, and investors.”

Trade between Cambodia and the European Union continues to grow steadily, with Cambodia’s exports to the EU rising by more than 13 percent last year to nearly USD 5 billion, lifting total bilateral trade to approximately USD 5.87 billion. Through enhanced international banking infrastructure, Wing Bank will strengthen cross-border trade finance, remittances, foreign exchange (TT), and settlement services, enabling faster euro settlements, smoother Letters of Credit and documentary collections, and more efficient services for customers engaging with European markets.

Wing Bank has grown rapidly through recognised standards, responsible innovation, and digital capabilities, with its Wing Bank App offering more than 100 solutions for personal and business needs. According to the National Bank of Cambodia’s 2024 report, Wing Bank ranked among the country’s leading financial institutions by assets, deposits, and loans. As the youngest bank among these market leaders, this reflects the speed of Wing Bank’s development and the credibility behind its expanding international ambitions.
