PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA, 09 JANUARY 2019 – Cambodia’s leading mobile banking service provider, Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialised Bank, today announced its partnership with MoneyGram to provide an additional choice for convenient international money transfer service.

The partnership will bring another level of convenience for Cambodian people living abroad when they need to send money to their loved ones in Cambodia. Currently, receivers can pick up their cash funds at Wing’s Head office, but the service will soon be available at Wing agent locations in Cambodia.

Wing Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jojo Malolos, said it is a great privilege for Wing to partner with MoneyGram, one of the largest global money transfer service providers, to offer source of financial inclusion for consumers in Cambodia.

“As a Company that also serves the unbanked and under-banked population in Cambodia, we hope that this partnership will enable many possibilities for thousands of our customers whose living conditions have gone through a tremendous change since the company introduced inbound international money transfer service about one year ago,” said Mr. Malolos.

Mr. Sukesh Malliah, MoneyGram’s head of the Indian Sub-continent, Indo-China, Malaysia and Brunei said the partnership with Wing will be another step for MoneyGram to achieve the company’s mission,

“It is MoneyGram’s goal to provide a trusted, reliable and convenient money transfer service for our millions of our customers who depend our services to connect with friends and family around the world,” said Mr. Malliah.

The partnership with MoneyGram comes one month after Wing introduced “Wing2World”, an international money transfer service available in both inbound and outbound. Depending on the services provided by each partner, Wing’s customers can log into Wing Money app in order to initiate the outbound money transfer – currently available for the Philippines and Vietnam corridors only. The receivers in Cambodia can either receive the money sent from over 200 countries and territories at either Wing agent or Wing Money app.
