Wing Bank and ABC Promote Saving in the Community

November 10, 2025

Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc joined the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) and the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) to celebrate ASEAN Savings Day 2025 in Kampot Province.

The event emphasized the importance of saving as a key driver of financial stability, empowerment, and sustainable national development while also supporting the community through financial education and empowering individuals to improve their financial well-being.

“Saving is the first step toward achieving personal goals, supporting family dreams, and strengthening our nation’s economy. When people save, they build resilience for themselves and create stability for those around them,” said Mr. Bunthe Hor, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Wing Bank.

“At Wing Bank, we are delighted to take part in ASEAN Savings Day to inspire every Cambodian to start small, stay consistent, and grow together toward a more secure and prosperous future.”

The celebration featured a range of engaging and educational activities to promote the value of saving and financial literacy among the public. Youth are also encouraged to share their ideas through the “Smart Saving, Loved Saving” competition.

Visitors explored an exhibition of financial products and services from participating institutions, joined Q&A sessions to learn new things and win exciting prizes.

Cambodia continues to advance financial inclusion through the National Financial Inclusion Strategy 2019–2025, which aims to encourage saving by expanding access to formal financial services, reducing the financial exclusion of women by half (from 27% to 13%), and increasing the use of formal services from 59% to 70% by 2025.

In alignment with these national priorities, Wing Bank has been driving financial inclusion through digital innovation, financial literacy, and inclusive savings products that make saving simple, practical, and rewarding for everyone.

Through the Wing Bank App, customers can open accounts anytime and anywhere earning up to 3% annually on the Wing Bank Savings Account or up to 5% on Save for Goal, which enables individuals or groups to set personalized targets and track their progress together.

In 2024, the Wing Bank’s saving products grew by 62% year-on-year, and from January to October 2025, that growth has already exceeded 150%—a clear testament to the growing trust and confidence of Cambodians in Wing Bank’s commitment to empowering their financial future.
