Wing Bank Donates USD 5,000 to Kantha Bopha Foundation
June 25, 2025To support the free healthcare services for Cambodian children, Wing Bank donates to the ‘10,000 Riel, 10,000 People’ Campaign for Kantha Bopha Hospital
In a meaningful gesture to mark International Children’s Day, Wing Bank has donated USD 5,000 to the ‘10,000 Riel, 10,000 People’ campaign, supporting Kantha Bopha Hospitals’ mission to provide free healthcare to Cambodian children and pregnant women.
Led by Dr Pich Chanmony, Cambodia’s First Lady and Honorary Chair of the Kantha Bopha Foundation, the campaign embodies the spirit of “Khmer helping Khmer,” encouraging collective contributions from individuals across all walks of life to sustain the hospitals’ life-saving work.
“We are deeply grateful for the tireless dedication of Kantha Bopha Hospital’s medical team,” said Bunthe Hor, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank. “Their efforts have saved countless Cambodian children, and we are proud to support their mission.”
Last year alone, Kantha Bopha Hospitals, located in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, provided free medical care to over 1 million patients. With an operational budget of approximately USD 43 million per year, the hospitals rely on donations to ensure no child is denied treatment due to financial constraints.
“Sustaining free healthcare for Cambodia’s children requires collective support,” added Bunthe Hor. “Every donation, no matter the size, helps save lives.”
The donation from Wing Bank was presented during the campaign’s launch event in early June. Wing Bank has been a strong supporter of the ‘10,000 Riel, 10,000 People’ initiative since its inception in 2021.
