Wing Bank Joins MoEYS to Promote Entrepreneurial Mindset Among Cambodia’s Youth
October 3, 2025With Wing Bank’s support, students from universities nationwide joined Youth 21 to present business plans addressing real community challenges.
Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc has continued its support for the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport’s youth empowerment initiative — Youth 21.
Concluding six months of rigorous competition, the grand finale took place at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, bringing together some of the country’s brightest young minds under the 2025 theme: “Technopreneurship: Innovation for Sustainability.”
The Youth 21 program empowers Cambodian youth by cultivating three essential life competencies—knowledge, skills, and behaviors—to prepare them for the demands of the 21st century and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. At its core, the program encourages young people to harness technology and creativity to develop sustainable solutions that tackle pressing social challenges while contributing to long-term community development.
“The future of Cambodia lies in the creativity, courage, and determination of our youth. Therefore, we must give them the tools, guidance, and opportunities to turn vision into reality,” said Chiv Dara, Chief Financial Officer of Wing Bank, who also served as a judge at the final competition.
“Our support for Youth 21 goes beyond sponsorship. We actively engage as mentors, trainers, and evaluators to ensure students gain real-world knowledge, practical business experience, and the confidence to step into entrepreneurship,” he added.
Since 2021, Wing Bank has been a steadfast partner of Youth 21, helping hundreds of students sharpen their entrepreneurial skills and prepare for future challenges. The program also equips participants with essential soft skills such as public speaking, teamwork, creative project development, and financial management—fostering both personal growth and professional readiness while inspiring future cohorts of aspiring entrepreneurs.
Phanseyha Mel, Director of the Department of Youth and Child Education at MoEYS, expressed appreciation for Wing Bank’s contribution. “We are truly grateful for Wing Bank’s unwavering support throughout these five years. With partners like Wing Bank, we are building a culture of innovation that will benefit society for generations,” he added.
This year, the program received 21 applications from universities nationwide, with 10 groups advancing from the semi-finals to the final competition.
After an intense day, three teams emerged as the top finalists, with one ultimately crowned champion. The winner, Health Science Institute of R.C.A.F, presented “MEADA”—a chatbot designed to remind pregnant women about medical checkups and provide support throughout their pregnancy. The first runner-up, Beltei International University, introduced “Youl Chet 21”, a mental health community platform that offers safe spaces for youth and connects them with peers and professional consultants. The second runner-up, Svay Rieng University, developed “SRU”, a solar-powered drying box for meat and vegetables with smartphone connectivity.
For the winning students, this milestone is more than recognition—it marks the beginning of a journey to transform their ideas into businesses that can create lasting impact.
By standing beside Cambodia’s youth, Wing Bank reaffirms its mission to invest in people—the dreamers, doers, and future leaders who will shape a brighter tomorrow.
