August 25, 2025Wing Bank backs 4th Cambodia Banking Conference, highlighting digital innovation, financial inclusion, and climate finance as engines of growth.
The 4th Cambodia Banking Conference, held on 19–20 August 2025 at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel, brought together top banking leaders, regulators, and international experts to explore how digital innovation and sustainable finance can drive inclusive growth in Cambodia.
Under the theme “Unlocking Inclusive Growth: Digital Innovation and Sustainability,” the conference focused on supporting Cambodia’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) by 2030 and the nation’s ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
The two-day gathering served as a platform for in-depth discussions on how the financial sector can shape the country’s transition to a low-carbon economy. Key topics included the role of digital technologies in transforming banking operations and customer experience, strategies for promoting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, and the importance of financial inclusion in fostering equitable growth. Risk and resilience were also in focus, with experts sharing insights on compliance, cybersecurity, and crisis preparedness.
As one of Cambodia’s fastest-growing digital banks, Wing Bank played an active role in supporting the success of the event. The bank provided financial sponsorship, contributed expert insights through panel discussions, and offered financial services and consultations to participants. By actively engaging in the conference, Wing Bank reinforced its commitment to collaborating with industry peers and stakeholders to drive Cambodia’s sustainable finance agenda forward.
“Supporting the 4th Cambodia Banking Conference reflects our dedication to advancing sustainable finance in alignment with the National Bank of Cambodia and the Association of Banks in Cambodia,” said Mr. Bunthe Hor, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank. “This conference is an important platform for shaping the financial sector’s role in Cambodia’s climate journey, and Wing Bank is proud to be part of this collective effort to accelerate climate-conscious financial behavior in the country.”
Wing Bank’s involvement in the conference also reflects its own sustainability journey. The bank has already embedded environmental mindfulness into its operations by introducing biodegradable bank cards, reducing paper consumption through digital banking systems, and promoting energy-saving and waste-reduction practices across its offices. These in-house initiatives complement larger programs such as Wing Bank’s partnership with FootprintLab to integrate ESG accounting into everyday banking and community-driven projects including youth tree planting and anti-plastic campaigns in Phnom Penh.
By showcasing both its corporate initiatives and community partnerships, Wing Bank demonstrates that its commitment to sustainability goes beyond sponsorship—it is embedded in the bank’s products, operations, and long-term vision. The 4th Cambodia Banking Conference reaffirmed the banking sector’s crucial role in shaping the country’s economic and environmental future, and with the support of industry leaders like Wing Bank, Cambodia is one step closer to building a greener and more inclusive economy.
