An Asset and Liability Management (ALM) Manager plays a crucial role in financial institutions, overseeing the strategic management of assets and liabilities to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
Job Responsibilities
- Interest Rate and Liquidity Risk Management: Monitor and report on interest rate and liquidity risks to ensure the organization's financial stability.
- ALM Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to manage the organization's asset and liability portfolios effectively.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies related to asset and liability management.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Utilize financial models to assess balance sheet behaviors, net interest income performance, and interest rate sensitivities.
- Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present reports on the organization's ALM position to senior management and relevant committees.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather necessary data and implement ALM strategies effectively.
Job Requirement
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in treasury, finance, or a related field, with a strong background in ALM.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel; experience with ALM software and financial modeling tools is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and develop effective ALM strategies
