The Associate Litigation Manager leads and mentors a team of litigation professionals, ensuring efficient management of court cases and legal proceedings. This role is responsible for conducting legal research, assisting with trial preparation, managing case files, maintaining client communication, and implementing litigation strategies. The Associate Litigation Manager also monitors team performance and ensures timely case resolutions within the set timeframes.JOB DESCRIPTIONS
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of litigation professionals, ensuring high performance and effective case handling.
- Litigation Process Management: Oversee and expedite the court case process, ensuring smooth progression and timely resolution (within one year for judgment and auction).
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and support ongoing cases.
- Trial Preparation and Representation: Assist the litigation team in preparing for trials and hearings, and represent the bank in court.
- Case Management: Organize and maintain case files and client records, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date documentation.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and offering legal advice.
- Strategic Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop litigation strategies and ensure effective execution.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the daily activities and performance of the litigation team, addressing any performance issues and ensuring continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Updates: Cooperate with the line manager to ensure timely reporting and updates on court case statuses.
- Issue Resolution: Discuss and resolve issues with the manager promptly to keep cases on track.
- Additional Tasks: Perform overtime or other urgent tasks as required by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field. A master’s degree in law or professional optional required qualifications as a lawyer certificated.
- Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Internet, and Email.
- Strong knowledge of banking laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and implement litigation strategies.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good attitude, teamwork, honesty, and effective communication skills.
