Job Descriptions
- Process cheque transactions by accurately verifying and validating cheque details, including account numbers, signatures, and amounts.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies during the cheque clearing process.
- Sort and batch cheques for clearing, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cheque transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of all cheque transactions, including reconciliation and reporting.
- Monitor and track the status of cheque clearing activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to service level agreements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries and concerns related to cheque transactions.
- Identify and report any suspicious or fraudulent activities to the appropriate authorities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Banking and Finance, Business Management or related fields
- At least 3-year experience in Banking sector preferably in the local remittance and check clearing
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations, policies, and procedures related to cheque clearing
