The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for leading and executing Wing Bank’s marketing strategy to drive brand repositioning and sustainable growth. This role is pivotal in reshaping Wing Bank’s image, positioning the institution as a trusted, innovative, and leading financial entity in Cambodia. The CMO will lead efforts to amplify Wing’s brand, increase customer engagement, and drive long-term revenue growth and market share.
The CMO will oversee the strategic planning and execution of marketing initiatives across Wing Bank’s full range of banking services, facilitating the transformation from a mobile money provider to a comprehensive, full-service commercial bank. This role requires a deep focus on both traditional and digital marketing to ensure a consistent and impactful brand experience across all touchpoints, while building trust and loyalty in Wing’s expanded offerings.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brand Repositioning & Strategy Development:
- Lead the rebranding strategy to reposition Wing Bank from a mobile money provider to a full-service, trusted commercial bank, while overseeing the development of comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives. You will ensure Wing Bank’s messaging resonates with target audiences and reflects the bank’s innovative digital and physical services.
- Mobile Money Strategy:
- Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for Wing’s mobile money business, focusing on increasing mobile wallet users, promoting digital financial services, and expanding market penetration. This will involve working closely with key industry stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of digital financial services in Cambodia, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy.
- Market Leadership & Customer Engagement:
- Position Wing Bank as a leader in Cambodia’s banking industry by driving customer acquisition and usage through innovative campaigns, both in digital banking and traditional services. Ensure Wing’s brand is consistently and compellingly represented across all marketing channels, including social media, digital campaigns, print materials, and customer communications.
- Trust & Credibility Building:
- Develop and implement strategies to build trust and credibility, focusing on Wing’s position as a reliable and robust financial institution. Lead efforts to communicate Wing Bank’s story effectively using creativity, impact, and drama, positioning the bank as a cornerstone of Cambodia’s banking future.
- Collaboration with Business Heads:
- Partner closely with business leaders from various departments to ensure that marketing strategies are aligned with product offerings and business goals. Work together with these heads to create tailored marketing initiatives that address specific customer segments and effectively communicate value propositions.
- Social Media & Communications Leadership:
- Lead the creation and execution of a best-in-class social media strategy to build brand presence and engage key stakeholders. Additionally, oversee corporate communications to ensure consistent messaging and brand positioning across all media and platforms.
- Performance Measurement & Reporting:
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and campaigns, providing regular reports to the executive team on marketing performance, insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
- • Proven experience as a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) or senior marketing leader in the financial services, FMCG or related industry.
- • Demonstrated success in brand strategy, marketing communications, digital marketing, and customer engagement.
- • Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing, with a focus on digital transformation.
- • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams to achieve business goals.
- • Extensive experience in social media strategy and management of channels such as Facebook, YouTube, and others.
- • A deep understanding of traditional and digital marketing strategies, with the ability to create measurable campaigns that drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and engagement.
- • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive results.
- • Experience in international or emerging markets, particularly in the technology or financial services sectors.
- • Visionary leader with the ability to influence and shape the future direction of Wing Bank’s marketing efforts.
- • Strong analytical skills, with a focus on performance metrics and ROI-driven decision-making.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent Wing Bank to key stakeholders and the public.
