JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute lending strategies to grow market share, optimize products, and enhance customer acquisition/retention.
  • Conduct market research and risk assessments to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Collaborate with product managers to innovate and refine loan products, pricing models, and credit policies.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess portfolio performance, forecast outcomes, and adjust strategies.
  • Create enablement programs (training, playbooks, certifications) to enhance the skills and performance of sales, underwriting, and support teams.
  • Partner with IT and tech teams to implement tools that streamline lending processes.
  • Produce customer-facing and internal materials to effectively communicate lending strategies
  • Monitor and report on enablement effectiveness and analyze credit portfolio performance.
  • Ensure compliance by working with risk, compliance, and legal teams.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit and Lending Quality Assurance to maintain high standards and improve lending operations.
  • Provide on-the-job training to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Develop performance enablement strategies to ensure teams meet and exceed their targets.
  • Prepare strategies for the sales team to achieve their goals and drive business growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging team members to propose new ideas and solutions.
  • Implement feedback loops to continuously improve lending strategies and processes based on team and customer feedback.
  • Utilize advanced technologies such as AI and machine learning to enhance decision-making and predictive analytics.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and synergy between different departments.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions to keep the team updated on industry trends and best practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is essential. An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, particularly in lending, strategy development, and enablement roles. Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading strategic initiatives is crucial.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analytics, financial modeling, and risk assessment. Familiarity with lending platforms and tools (e.g., LOS, CRM systems) is highly desirable.
  • Leadership and Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Experience in managing large-scale projects and driving organizational change is important.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the lending industry (e.g., CFPB, Fair Lending). Ability to work closely with risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulations.
