JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement Oracle Transparent Data Encryption on key financial application to meet project schedule and company security requirements.
- Perform Oracle Database service migrations, upgrades, security patching to maintain corporate data security compliance and stability.
- Maintained database security via unique database role and object permission
- Develop backup and recovery procedures and system and user security standard.
- Evaluate security software policies and procedures
- Desing and conduct security training related.
- Performs proactive capacity planning to ensure database availability is not affected
- Performs proactive monitoring and performance tuning of the database instances
- Install various patches to keep databases up to date and install new versions of the Oracle/PostgreSQL database to ensure compatibility with existing applications
- Plans and implements backup and recovery of the databases with security encryption.
- Implements and enforces security for all of the Databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
- Puts standards in place to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance. The DBA will perform reviews on the various database objects design and code to ensure the site standards are being adhered to.
- Provides technical assistance from database perspective to application development teams in designing various objects in the database schema.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Graduated bachelor degree of Information Technology, preferably in the field of Computer Science.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in implementing and maintaining Database Security features
- Experience with Oracle 19c/21c Multitenant database
- Capacity planning, SQL analysis, schema revisions, security administration and user account maintenance are also required tasks
- Experience in database architectures, replication, problem diagnosis and resolution, shell scripting, PL/SQL development, and backup and recovery is also required
- Experience in troubleshooting problems relating to the Oracle database that may originate or exist in the infrastructure that supports the data store including but not limited to application server, network, storage, or operating system component/layer
- Experience in upgrading, patching, and migrating databases
- Experience in scripting to automate routine database tasks and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of building complex SQL queries
- Self-starter and be able to perform work with minimal supervisory direction
