Job Summary
The Business Analyst plays a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This position exists to ensure that business requirements are clearly understood, documented, and translated into actionable deliverables for development teams. The role contributes directly to the success of digital initiatives by improving processes, aligning stakeholder expectations, and supporting seamless integration of new digital channels with existing systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with business stakeholders to collect, analyze, refine, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discussions to ensure clear understanding of business needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, and process flows.
- Develop wireframes and workflow diagrams to support solution design and development.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
- Support sprint planning and backlog grooming activities.
- Ensure development priorities align with business objectives and customer needs.
- Act as the key liaison between business users, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Communicate project progress, requirements updates, and potential risks to stakeholders.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for system enhancements.
- Work closely with developers, QA teams, and solution architects throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
- Support implementation, testing, and post-deployment activities to ensure successful delivery.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- Master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, or a related role.
- Experience in mobile application and web-based product development.
- Hands-on experience working with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders in Agile environments.
- Experience preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, and wireframes.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Familiarity with digital banking, financial services, fintech products, or digital customer journeys.
- Knowledge of system integration concepts, APIs, and data synchronization processes.
- Competent in process modeling using BPMN, UML, or similar tools.
