JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Ensure Accurate and Timely Securities Settlement Operations
1.1 Oversee daily securities settlement activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
1.2 Monitor settlement status and resolve failed or delayed transactions
1.3 Ensure reconciliation between systems and counterparties is completed
2 Minimize Settlement Risks and Operational Losses
2.1 Monitor settlement risks, overdrafts, and discrepancies
2.2 Investigate and resolve settlement-related issues promptly
2.3 Implement preventive controls to reduce operational risks
3 Strengthen Settlement Processes, Controls, and Efficiency
3.1 Develop, review, and enhance settlement procedures and workflows
3.2 Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
3.3 Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors
4 Build and Lead a High-Performing Settlement Team
4.1 Lead, coach, and supervise the settlement team
4.2 Set performance expectations and monitor team productivity
4.3 Develop staff capabilities through training and guidance
5 Support System Enhancement and New Product Implementation
5.1 Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation (UAT)
5.2 Collaborate with IT and stakeholders on system improvements
5.3 Support new product rollout related to securities settlement
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or related field
- Minimum 5–8 years experience in securities settlement or operations
- At least 3–5 years in supervisory or managerial role
- Experience managing settlement processes and resolving discrepancies
- Experience working with financial systems and transaction platforms
