In a powerful demonstration of solidarity and compassion, Wing Bank, the Royal Group of Companies (RGC), and the Khmer Artist Association have extended vital support to more than 2,000 families affected by the recent conflict along the Cambodia–Thailand border—all within the span of just one month.

With the generous backing of the public and the tireless efforts of dedicated team members, aid was delivered to displaced communities across Oddar Meanchey, Siem Reap, and Preah Vihear provinces, bringing not just supplies, but a message of hope.

H.E. Ouk Kimsan, Deputy Governor of Preah Vihear Province, expressed deep appreciation for the leadership and presence of the working group and artists led by Lok Chumteav Neak Oknha Mao Chamnan. He noted that their involvement reflects a profound sense of care and highlights the enduring spirit of unity among the Khmer people.

The humanitarian mission, led by Lok Chumteav Neak Oknha Mao Chamnan, Vice Chairwoman of RGC and President of the Khmer Artist Association, reached hundreds last Friday. 300 pallets were delivered to the Wat Toul Andaet Displacement Camp, and relief packages were distributed to 544 families at Wat Trava Kiet.

Speaking directly to the displaced families, Lok Chumteav Neak Oknha Mao Chamnan acknowledged the emotional toll of displacement: “Over the past month, although families have received generous support from the authorities, the Royal Government of Cambodia, and kind-hearted individuals from across the country, we understand the pain, fear, and loneliness they are experiencing. There is no place more comforting than one’s own home. Yet, we remain hopeful that this dark chapter will soon come to an end.”

Each family received a care package containing drinking water, instant noodles, 10 kilograms of rice, blankets, scarves, clothing, and other basic food items. While modest, these supplies conveyed a strong message of solidarity and support for the displaced communities.

Among the many voices of gratitude was Keo Sophany, who fled her home with her family and is now staying at Chroy Neang Nguon Pagoda in Siem Reap Province.

“I’m truly thankful to Neak Oknha Kith Meng and Lok Chumteav Neak Oknha Mao Chamnan for providing us with this food relief. It’s been incredibly helpful to us,” Keo Sophany said, expressing her gratitude with hope.

When conflict erupted along the border, countless families were forced to leave everything behind. In response, Neak Oknha Kith Meng and Lok Chumteav Neak Oknha Mao Chamnan launched the Foundation for Refugee Assistance, inviting the public to join hands in supporting those in need.

This mission is part of a broader, ongoing relief effort. Since early August, RGC members have delivered aid across multiple provinces:

  • August 2–3: Support for over 700 children and families at Wat Kiri Toul Andaet, Preah Vihear Province,
  • August 6: Supplies delivered to a safety camp in Ou Ta Meng Village, Anglong Veng Commune, Oddar Meanchey Province,
  • August 11: Relief for families in Ta Moan Sen Chey Village, Banteay Ampil District, Oddar Meanchey Province,
  • August 19–20: Aid for 80 injured soldiers in Siem Reap hospitals and 718 displaced families at Chroy Neang Nguon Pagoda, Siem Reap Province.

In moments of crisis, kindness becomes a lifeline. Through these efforts, Wing Bank and the Royal Group of Companies are not only delivering aid—they are delivering strength, compassion, and a promise that Cambodia stands united.
