In celebration of World Health Day and ahead of the upcoming Khmer New Year, about 300 employees donated blood to help save lives during a Health Fair and Blood Donation Day at Wing Bank Tower, reflecting Wing Bank’s commitment to employee well-being and community care.

“Our people are our greatest strength. That is why we continue to host the Health Fair and Blood Donation Day to support their well-being while giving back to communities in need,” said Mr. Bunthe Hor, Deputy CEO of Wing Bank. “I sincerely thank all employees for taking part in today’s humanitarian activity, which truly reflects the generosity and compassionate spirit of the Wing Bank family.”

Wingers joined together in solidarity to receive basic health screenings and professional medical consultations. Beyond promoting physical well-being, the event also conveyed a meaningful message that timely health prevention and the simple act of donating one bag of blood can make a life-saving difference.

Dr. Heng Sokchamroeun, Deputy Director of the National Blood Transfusion Center, said: “Blood donation is one of the highest forms of charity, as humans are the only source of blood, and no factory can produce a substitute. In Cambodia, one unit of blood is needed every three minutes to help save a life, with total national demand in 2025 exceeding 210,000 units. Wing Bank’s initiative today is a meaningful contribution to helping address this critical shortage.”

Blood Donation provides essential support for emergency treatments, surgeries, and various medical complications. Beyond saving lives, blood donation also offers personal health benefits to donors, such as reducing the risk of cancer, heart disease, and stroke, while helping to balance iron levels in the body. Additionally, donors receive free and strictly confidential screenings for Hepatitis B and C, syphilis, and HIV.

Mr. Kun Boty, Senior Customer Segment Specialist at Wing Bank, shared his delight: “This program gave me the opportunity to check my own health while giving back to society through blood donation. I am truly happy to know that my small gesture can help save someone’s life.”

The National Blood Transfusion Center also highlighted that men can donate blood every three months and women every four months, offering renewed hope to patients in need of life-saving assistance.

The event was supported by several healthcare providers, including Royal Group Wellness Center, Central Hospital, International Chiropractic Clinic, Pachem, Princess Clinic, Sing Specialist, Sakal, Infinity, Ucare, and Uriage, Together, they offered a wide range of services, from general medical and dental care to beauty consultations and wellness support, enhancing the overall experience for employees.

This initiative further reinforces Wing Bank’s culture of care, which values human resource development and social responsibility beyond banking services. It aims to nurture a positive work culture and support the well-being of every employee.
