Empowering Customers with Stronger Digital Protection

Cambodia’s banking sector is rapidly advancing into the digital era, making customer protection a top priority. Wing Bank is leading the way with enhanced security measures and customer education to ensure safe digital transactions.

"We combine advanced technology with continuous education to guarantee every transaction is secure and every customer feels confident using our digital services. Our goal is to make safety simple and accessible for everyone," said Bunthe Hor, Wing Bank’s Deputy CEO.

The bank employs robust security measures, including zero-trust architecture— a security model that continuously verifies every access request to prevent unauthorized entry and reduce the risk of breaches—alongside advanced security technologies, two-factor authentication, automated detection and response, encrypted transactions, and continuous 24/7/365 monitoring. It has consistently maintained compliance with SWIFT CSP and PCI DSS—international standards for safeguarding cardholder data and securing global transactions. Additionally, the bank has upgraded its core banking systems to enhance speed and reliability.

"Customers are encouraged to stay alert by avoiding suspicious links, protecting personal details, and checking account activity regularly," Bunthe added. "They should never share login credentials, PINs, or OTP codes and should always verify all offers and transactions."

If personal details are accidentally disclosed, swift action is essential. Accounts must be frozen immediately through the Wing Bank app or by contacting the Call Center. Passwords should be changed without delay, and any evidence—such as screenshots—should be saved. Incidents can be reported via the in-app Help menu by selecting “Report Issues,” by calling 023 999 989, or by emailing security@wingbank.com.kh. Wing Bank will promptly investigate and take necessary steps to secure the account.

To keep customers informed, Wing Bank sends real-time alerts about scams and regularly updates its mobile app security features. By working closely with regulators and law enforcement, the bank ensures a strong response to fraud while building trust in Cambodia’s digital banking system.
