In a shared commitment to strengthening Cambodian families, Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc joined the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MOSAVY) in celebrating the International Day of Families, as Cambodia highlighted the vital role of resilient family economies in promoting national prosperity, stability, and peace.
The celebration, held in Phnom Penh and presided over by H.E. Chea Somethy, Minister of MOSAVY and Lok Chumteav Chea Phalkun, brought together more than 400 participants from government institutions, development partners, the private sector, and local communities.
Observed annually in Cambodia, the International Day of Families aims to raise awareness of the family’s essential role in social and economic progress. This year’s theme focused on investing in resilient family economies as a foundation for national prosperity and peace.
“Strong families build a stable country,” said Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, CEO of Wing Bank. “When support reaches households safely and on time, families can plan for the future, overcome challenges, and ensure their children stay in school. We are honored to stand alongside MOSAVY in celebrating the International Day of Families and remain committed to expanding financial access and supporting the well-being of Cambodian communities.”
As a trusted long-standing partner of MOSAVY, Wing Bank plays a critical role in supporting social assistance programs under the National Social Assistance Fund. Through secure and accessible financial services, the Bank helps ensure that vital support reaches vulnerable communities efficiently and with dignity.
As one of Cambodia’s youngest banks among established market leaders, Wing Bank’s growing role in national social assistance programs reflects the rapid pace of its development and the trust behind its expanding impact. Through its digital banking platform and nationwide network of more than 12,000 Wing Agents, the Bank has helped deliver assistance to families, older persons, persons with disabilities, people living with HIV/AIDS, pregnant women, children, students, and refugees, strengthening social protection and improving livelihoods across Cambodia.
From April 2024 to April 2026, these programs supported more than 761,000 families, 416,000 elderly beneficiaries, 65,000 people with disabilities, and over 414,000 students, with total disbursements exceeding 52.5 billion riels. This ongoing effort reflects Wing Bank’s strong commitment to advancing financial inclusion and supporting Cambodia’s national social protection agenda, helping build stronger families and a more resilient future for all.
