Wing Bank reaffirmed its strong support for the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) at the 4th National Day of Science, Technology & Innovation (STI Day 2026), standing alongside public and private stakeholders committed to turning ideas into realworld progress.
“Innovation only matters when it works on the ground for SMEs, students and families,” said Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, Chief Executive Officer of Wing Bank. “Wing Bank is proud to support platforms like STI Day 2026 that bring together public and private stakeholders, inspire new ideas and help advance Cambodia’s long-term development.”
STI Day 2026 was organized at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre under the theme “Innovation for National Advancement,”. The 3 days event brought together leaders from government, business, academia, and the research community to showcase innovation driving competitiveness and sustainable growth.
Across nearly 200 exhibition booths, visitors experienced firsthand how innovation is transforming industries from smart manufacturing and automation to modern agricultural machinery and digital business tools. Live demonstrations showed how applied technologies, including AI-supported quality control and digital workflows, are helping Cambodian enterprises raise productivity, modernize operations, and meet increasingly complex market standards.

For many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), STI Day 2026 represented more than a showcase of new ideas. It offered a gateway to partnerships, practical solutions, and opportunities to scale. The event underscored how innovation can empower local businesses to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving economy.
STI Day 2026 also reinforced the importance of research and development, with many advanced economies investing around 2 to 3 percent of GDP in R&D.

Celebrating the National Day of Science, Technology & Innovation reflects the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to socioeconomic development and its vision of achieving highincome country status by 2050. Over the past two decades, the country has made a significant shift from a traditional agriculture-based economy to one increasingly driven by science, technology, and innovation. In an era defined by rapid technological change, these tools are essential to building competitiveness and resilience across all sectors.
Wing Bank remains committed to support initiatives that promote innovation, inclusion, and sustainable growth, ensuring that the benefits of progress are accessible to people, businesses, and communities across Cambodia.
